STC Ice Shields
Our Ice shields are .050 thick formed Aluminum, riveted in place for permanent installation.
Its ok to install the ice shields over existing dents so long as the dents are not considered to render the aircraft as un airworthy, our ice shields are not considered as a repair.
After installing the ice shields you paint to match the rest of the airplane.
Installation time typically takes 16 -19 hours for the Barons (LH and RH Ice Shield Installation). King Air ice shields are 4-piece installation, you have the option of installing one or all so time varies, to install the whole kit typically the time is 16-19 hours (note: all 4 are included in the kit)
